In real life connections are important
Working as a wedding entrepreneur can feel isolating especially out of “wedding season”. There are days when we want to meet fellow wedding professionals just to talk through the lows and highs of being in this fast paced industry. Of course with social media and online memberships, it can feel like we have colleagues sitting right next to us, but at times we need some face to face chats – not to mention the caffeine!
Which is why I launched Wedding Coffee and Chat in 2024 as a monthly morning of networking to build friendships but also nurture possible referral systems, I paused the coffee mornings at the start of the year but I’m ready to host them again this autumn. As a result of those coffee mornings many working collaborations began including 2 attendees launching a podcast together! You never know what will happen when you get the chance to connect away from your computer.
I’m not new to this. In fact I originally launched a Wedding Coffee Club in 2014 for the UKAWP and ran this until 2020. Our coffee mornings were well received and I know incredibly beneficial for those attending. When reflecting on the last few years I realised I have missed connections I once had from meeting people in real life. After all a real hug is better than a virtual one. And from many discussions with others it seems I am not alone. And it’s so lovely that I have been able to recreate that again through my consultancy business.

Regardless of when you launched, you’ll benefit from speaking to others who are as equally passionate about their business as you. Lets face it, sometimes our friends and family just don’t “get it” and as much as they love us, they don’t truly understand our concerns.

Essex and Suffolk
The wedding coffee and chat mornings will be held at wedding venues for two reasons. It gives planners and suppliers the chance to visit wedding venues without it impacting the day to day running of the venue, plus it’s an opportunity for venues to highlight anything new with their venue. The mornings are free to attend and include:
- Informal networking opportunities with those attending
- A 20 minute masterclass on a relevant topic relating to the wedding industry.
- Venue showround and welcome
- Open Q&A discussions with support from me or your peers

Why attend?
Caffeine! No seriously there is no ulterior motive, I just thought it would be nice to meet more people from within the wedding industry, face to face. And since closing the UKAWP I no longer have all the wedding gossip I once did 😉 To understand more about why networking is good for business read this article on “Collaboration in the Wedding Industry“.
Grow Your Wedding Business Network
Connect with like-minded wedding pros, perfect for long-term collaboration and referrals.
Sharpen Your Skills
The workshops offers practical tools in areas such as social media strategy, onboarding and offboarding, or generation z trends.
Venue Respect
Get inspired by seeing the venue in person—a great opportunity for venue owners and suppliers to gain mutual respect prior to a wedding day. See where the best spots are for photos and any little hidden gems. Hear from the venue team about how they work and learn their market niche.

Tentative Dates
I am contacting wedding venues at the moment but here are the tentative dates I have in mind. I am aiming for the 2nd Wednesday of each month but much depends on the venue availability. The times will be 10-12pm.
10th September 2025
8th October 2025
12th November 2025
10th December – lunch not coffee
