What is a mastermind?
Before we explore the ways a mastermind could benefit you lets cover the basics first. A mastermind is where a group of individuals come together to give / receive advice and support for their business.
Sometimes includes regular training from the coach or a chosen expert. Includes group zoom calls and/or in person events. Although facilitated by the coach the power comes from the peer experience and knowledge. Unlike 1:1 coaching it’s not necessarily always about you. Sometimes knowledge comes from listening to the challenges your peers face and understanding the advice given, or indeed offering solutions yourself when it is a problem you are knowledgeable on.

1. Community
A mastermind is a community of conscious individuals who have made a decision to improve their business, and will dedicate time to do so. They are willing to be fully committed to increase their learning but support fellow peers with theirs. It tends to be a much more closely connected group, cheering each other on and offering guidance when needed. They will be like minded individuals who understand what entrepreneurship is like, unlike friends and family who oftentimes give unwanted and incorrect advice. But more-so, it is a community of talented, creative individuals who will form your inner circle , inspiring you to be the very best you can be, cheering you on. With backing like this can you fail to succeed?

2. Intimate Groups
Many group programmes have huge numbers of delegates inside with little individual support. A mastermind is normally smaller, for my own mastermind (Create & Scale) it will be maximum 6 people, thus large enough for the community but small enough that relationships can be built and individual support given to everyone.
3. Growing as a CEO
Mastermind groups combine increasing your knowledge through training/education with networking ensuring you can scale and grow. Networking groups on their own don’t pack enough of a punch, but partnered with education and 1:1 support it is a powerhouse of support.

4. Accountability
The group aspect of the mastermind ensures you experience accountability not just from the coach but also your fellow business owners. The life of an entrepreneur is lonely and can feel overwhelming. We second guess what action needs to be taken and often end up procrastinating. So, having a group of people who are on the same journey is very beneficial. They will hold you accountable but also YOU encourage and support THEM. Sometimes when we fall off track, when imposter syndrome kicks in or struggle with the logistics of a new idea, the group of individuals in the mastermind can pull us back in.ย
5. New Opportunities / Constructive Criticism
Being amongst talented business owners can open up doors to new opportunities. Whether through referrals and introductions or helping you explore new ways to diversify your business to produce multiple revenue streams. In fact the graphic designer I use now I met when we were in a mastermind together in 2018!
When you have an inner circle of positive business owners it inspires you to do more, be more, and want more. You will know things your fellow masterminders donโt, so will help/explain to them. But they will have experience / knowledge in other areas so will help you with that. In other words itโs the sharing of minds that brings forth the power. Introducing the Create & Scale Mastermind
In 2022 I opened the doors for the first time to Create & Scale, a 6 Month business mastermind for CREATIVE + WEDDING entrepreneurs who are ready to create moreย joy, freedomย andย profitย in their life. When I was designing Create & Scale I knew I wanted 1:1 aspects within it so I created a blended mastermind, I asked myself what would I love if joining?!
So as well as the trainings, group calls , energy healing and community I decided to include the following aspects:
Business Review: This is my 45 minute business review where I analyse clients businesses before sending them a report of findings. For my masterminders this will help me identify which areas of business need the most love and attention throughout the mastermind. This is done right at the start of our time together. And boy did my 2022 cohort love these!
1:1 Zoom: Half way through I will have a 1:1 call with everyone to see how they are, they can really open up and share anything that is troubling them.
Strategy Day: And because I love a hug, and know how powerful my in person mastermind days were, I decided to host an in person strategy day to map out their goals and get those in person hugs! In 2022 this was held in a top luxurious London hotel, getting to meet each other in person was so lovely and helped cement the relationships that had been built.
