What do I mean by โBeyond the Prettyโ?
Despite working in the wedding industry since 2002 Iโm not actually creative.ย My zone of genius has always strategic, was in the planning and logistics. But I understand wedding businesses and their need for beautiful aesthetics, I also understand creatives and their passion for creating something magical. I respect, admire and love the talent that is surrounding me.
But Iโve seen wedding and creative businesses plateau as they canโt seem to get themselves out of their creative funk. This is where I come in, I help with strategic planning, with pricing structures that are profitable, with future proofing the business so they have more time to do what they love, i.e creating the pretty.
One way to look at it is I am the Yin to your Yang. Lets face it, you donโt need my creativity (and isnโt that a relief) but you do need my eyes on your business. My ability to analyse your business and help you carve out a new exciting path. I want you to embrace your creativity, I want to hear all the creative ideas you have but then Iโll help you focus. Iโll guide you in ways to knuckle down to business so it brings you the joy, freedom and profit you desire.
How can I help you?
When I work with clients over a 4month period we typically will work on a few areas to bring forth the change you desire. After your on-boarding call I will produce a detailed report for you but also suggested roadmap for our time together. Some of the areas we *might be working on include:
Customer Psychology
Who are your targeting and what is the current customer journey like from start to finish?
Service / Products
In short what are you selling. Does it bring you joy? Is it profitable? Or perhaps you have a new service/product youโd like to launch. We will discuss the suitability for the growth you desire.
Profitability
What figure would bring forth the profit and freedom you want? We will analyse your offerings and discuss the profit margins for each one. You may also share a figure you want to bring into the business so we will explore ways for this to happen.
Mindset + Confidence
This plays a big part in your success so together we will work discuss what might be holding you back right now. This can be especially helpful for my introvert clients who perhaps shy away from โshowing upโ, as an introvert I can relate and will share what has helped me over the years.
Your precious time
Are there aspects of your business that could be automated? Ways to streamline? Or perhaps its time to ditch / delegate. Together we will ensure you have more time doing what you love and spend less time on the tasks you donโt.

2 hour on boarding call to delve into your business
Our time together starts with a 2 hour on-boarding call. During this session I get to understand you as a person and were the sticking points are at present. It helps me provide a structure for our time together. You might need support with your mind-set before we even get onto the more strategic business consultancy.
8 x 1 hour zoom calls (bi-weekly)
I want this service to work for my clients and more importantly, I want them to do the work in between sessions. I understand that weekly calls can feel daunting which is why we have bi-weekly calls instead. This gives you a chance to complete the work in a way that feels powerful to you. During these calls we might be working on your mindset, or we might be creating a strategy for a new service. The direction will vary from call to call depending on what it is YOU need from me that day. All calls are recorded so you can watch back should you wish to do so.
Concise report detailing the areas I feel we should work on to bring the results you desire

How does the Strategy Beyond the Pretty work?
This is for those clients really ready to up-level. It is intensive and I require commitment from you , Iโll be going all in and I expect clients to do the same. This is a very hands-on experience with ongoing 1:1 support from me, so if youโre ready to up-level your business and invest in some serious time and hard work, this is the perfect service for you. After our on-boarding call, I will closely analyse your business and produce a bespoke report, so that we are crystal clear on the areas that we need to work on together.

How much access do I get from you?
Quite a lot. As well as our calls you have unlimited access to me on the voice note app voxer. This is perfect for instant answers to your questions. I am also around to review your goal setting, proof reading, giving advice. I get very involved with my clients. If however you wanted additional calls outside of the agreement this is an extra charge
What if I want to carry on working with you?
This is not unusual. Many clients either book an intensive day with me once a year or go onto a maintenance package, which is monthly calls after our 4 months are up.
How much time do I need to commit?
If booking my 4 month service then I suggest between 2-3 hours per week for calls and doing the work in between the calls. We have 2 x 1 hour calls per month but of course there will be โhomeworkโ to do in between.
What if I need to move a session?
I completely understand what it is like to run a seasonal business. I know sometimes your well planned schedule goes a little wrong. So yes if you canโt make a session I am happy to move it. I just ask for as much notice as possible. If you are wanting to move every session we will have a talk about your commitment.
Iโm a wedding planner, can you train me?
My consultancy service is more suited for planners who have been in business at least 3 years. Otherwise I may refer you to my other business theย UKAWPย for more formal training.
However if you have been in business for over 3 years I am able to include ad hoc wedding planner training within the consultancy for no additional charge. This is normally planners who did not train with me and who have gaps in their knowledge.
Can you provide a tailored service?
Absolutely , if you need support but feel the services I offer donโt quite match your needs then I can create a bespoke offering for you instead. Lets jump on aย callย to decide how best I can support you.
I donโt want people to know Iโve hired you
Our time together is kept confidential unless you give me express permission to announce you as a client, or when you provide me with a testimonial.
