After 16 years organising weddings I noticed a pattern, for example it wasn’t unusual to have phenomenal years after moments of self-doubt. I believe this was my capability to sit back and review and reflect on my year, what were the highs and lows? What could I improve? What didn’t work and what was awesome!
After 17 years as a wedding planner (Dream Occasions), and 15 years as the owner of the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners I have another business to call my own. And this time there is no hiding behind a name, this time the business is me whole heartedly.
social media is a big part of a marketing strategy for businesses, especially those in the creative industry like weddings. But it can suck the time out of your day if you do not properly manage your tasks. I see so many wedding businesses spending so much time curating beautiful feeds, but no time on an actual marketing strategy.
When I look back to my childhood AND previous jobs I can see how it led me on a journey to where I am now. I am the youngest of 4 children to a single mum, I never assumed my mum could buy me things so appreciated the value of money & working from a young age.
